About Owen King
Owen King lives in Nottingham and has trained in martial arts since 1986.
In this time he has trained in many different styles including Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Boxing,Thai Boxing, Aikido, Submission wrestling, and more. He has won many titles including British, European and world Titles in various associations including WAKO, WKA, WUMA etc and is the current WAKO World Champion.

He runs a full time school in the heart of Nottingham, based in the trendy hockley area of the city called Nottingham School of Blackbelts and also Nottingham proam centre. (There is a link on bottom right of the page)
He has taught thousands of people from all over Nottingham through the years and teaches self defence courses to several businesses in the area. He also teaches a seminar in holland every year for the world famous Earl Blijd.

What is The Kings Battleground?
The Kings battleground is Britains biggest ever sport martial arts event and will include the best martial artists from various styles competing for their share of the worlds biggest cash prize fund for this type of event.
This event was created to showcase the best martial arts talent from the whole of the UK, and to guarantee the best quality martial artists for you entertainment.
This is the first time in the Uk that martial artists from different disciplines will come together to compete on such a grand stage in front of 8,000 spectators.
Words from the promoter.
The reason i created this event was because i wanted to showcase the best martial artists to the public.
There are a lot of top athelets out there that make a good living from their sport, but unfortunately that is not the case for the majority of martial artists. When you go to the movies and see an action film you are exposed to a lot of top martial artists. Unfortunately there is not much exposure for britains best unless they make it in the movies so that is why i created this event.
On Sunday 14th November you will be entertained by Britains best martial artists,Including current British, European and World Champions, Movie action performers and future hopefuls.
