Antonio Vendone: Charity Fight for MS
Antonio Vendone probably better know for his DJ skills, Antonio Vendone will be competing at The King's Battleground in a fight to help raise money for the MS Society Charity.
From an early age Antonio has been involved in Martial Arts learning disciplines in Karate, Taekwondo and Kickboxing. In 2007 his progression in competitive kickboxing was halted when he suddenly developed problems with his legs, experiencing weakness, pain and problems with mobility.
After two years of tests it was discovered that Antonio had Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Determined not to be beaten, he continued to do what fitness he could and keep his strength, regularly attending the gym. MS is a condition that affects the nervous system and after an attack recovery can be a very slow process. However, Antonio's positive attitude has helped him get through this period and in the past year has seen him regain his fitness and take on challenges that he once thought would be impossible.
Earlier this year Antonio climbed to Highest Peak of the Atlas Mountains in North Africa raising money for the MS Society. This trek of over 4200 metres helped raise nearly £3000 for the charity and was a great personal achievement for Antonio.
Now his next challenge is to return to the Kickboxing arena with a charity show fight at the Kings Battleground on the 14th November. Antonio is hoping to raise even more money and awareness for the MS Society.
